Website Services: Design
We provide website design services as part of our website development packages, so where you have a need for a website we can provide a design based upon your requirements.
We have two design approaches:

1. Interactive Website Design... starting from £495.00
This new, innovative process does not involve the creation of static design images (i.e. pictures, for clients to provide feedback on). Instead, we approach the design in the following way:
We sit down with the client and, based upon their requirements and website content, we derive the optimum website structure (in terms of site organisation, site navigation and then individual page layouts). We then create an in-browser, working prototype of the website; this looks like a wireframe, but works in the same way as a website, allowing clients to see how the navigation, page layout and interactions will work.
This allows us to very quickly change or rearrange layouts and structures before entering into the "detail" of the design. Once the client is happy with how the site will work and operate, we complete the design with colours, imagery and other visual components that really bring it to life!
The advantage of this process is that our clients can be involved from the very start; the design more closely matches their aspirations, and so we can deal more responsively with their requirements. Changing or experimenting with layouts takes less time, and therefore costs the client less.
Some of the benefits:

- Most of the prototype code (HTML/CSS) can be used in the resulting site.
- Website prototypes can be linked to our CMS to populate page content/menus despite the design itself not being finalised.
Costs are estimated by the number of page layouts and the level of interactivity required.

2. Static Website Design... from £375.00
This is the "traditional" process of producing 3 designs (i.e. pictures) for the client to choose from. The client selects from them; changes are integrated over until a design the client is happy with is achieved. These designs are then built into website templates.
We prefer to use the interactive design process above when building websites, due to our conviction that the dynamic process is more flexible, yields better results and is more cost-effective. It also offers the client far better value for money (i.e. none of our time is spent on designs that will not be used, and even the code produced for the wireframes can be used in the finished site).
However, should clients wish to undertake project website designs this way, we will be able to accommodate.
